Food New Zealand - The official journal of The New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology
Food New Zealand was launched in 2000, building on the foundations established by New Zealand Food Journal and DIANZ's publication Dairy Technology, which were discontinued as independent magazines.
Peppermint Press is the publisher of Food New Zealand. The company was set up specifically to publish the journal. Principals are Anne Scott, Managing Editor, and David Pooch, both long-time NZIFST members with significant experience in publishing and business.

The core content of Food New Zealand is news and features on research, science and technology within the food industry, gathered from all around New Zealand and abroad. This is augmented with coverage of food manufacturing, packaging, processing, food safety, career development and training issues.
The magazine retains a scientific review board to enable occasional publication of peer reviewed papers.
NZIFST has its own dedicated section in Food New Zealand, comprising news and information about the organisations' activities, and their merged memberships – Institute Divisions make regular contributions with articles about their areas of interest.
The Meat Industry Association of New Zealand endorses the magazine and supplies 6 to 8 pages of editorial for each issue.
The magazine is published seven times a year and is mailed free to all members of NZIFST and to subscribers and centres of influence throughout the NZ Food Industry and overseas. Audited distribution, 2461.
Food New Zealand is proud to be the Official Publication of the IDF World Dairy Summit, to be held in Auckland New Zealand 8 -11 November 2010.
